How can I offer an Effective & Personable Customer Management Service to my patients?

When developing a working therapeutic alliance, one of trust and understanding, do you agree that often it’s the little things that go a long way toward establishing a relationship with your patients.

Offering patients the chance to receive an outstanding customer experience, consisting of everything from the 1st phone call right to the last session.

When we adopt this kind of attitude then we are providing much more than customer service.

This to me is what I prefer to call a personable service, a service that is continued up until the last session. Some even go as far as to arrange a review session at some point in the future, giving the patient some after care facilities.

Crucial to any therapy business is to establish good relationships with their patients thus becoming an ongoing resource and reference for them, their families and their friends.

Gaining a “word of mouth” respect, regard and obviously some significant business.

So let me ask you; “What does your practice mean to your patients and your referral sources?”

Let us know if this was useful?

Is Aquatic Therapy more than Water Exercises? Aquatic therapy can be a form of rehabilitation therapy and can also be a form of aqua aerobics for health and fitness.

Apparently ‘Aquatic therapy’ has poor showing on Wikipedia… So how do we make it better?

I will help to improve and heighten people’s awareness of this brilliant and effective therapy.
“Aquatic Therapists” use the water and specifically designed activities to enhance, restore, and maintain a person’s functional abilities. Conditions can be acute, transient, or chronic.
Benefits for “Aquatic therapy” include: Following an illness, injury, or surgery, a patient’s sensitivity to pain may be increased or the ability to bear weight on the injured area limited. In water, the pull of gravity on the body is not as strong as on land, therefore motion and functional activity are more comfortable and achievable

Aquatic Therapy

Aquatic therapy involves performing exercises in the water.

By using a carefully planned aquatic program, children with sensory processing issues and autism also benefit greatly from this type of therapy. Summer’s here. Get to know the basics of aquatic therapy, when to use it, how to go about …

Massage Using Aquatic Therapy

This is where massage using aquatic therapy comes in. Massage therapists have been using the rejuvenating effects of water on the body, thus using water itself to do creative wonders on the body’s pain. Aquatic therapy is done when the …

Aqua Therapy – A Powerful Tool For Fast Patient Recovery

A common misconception is that aquatic therapy is only for people who are already injured. This is not necessarily the case. In reality, it can be used to prevent , and injuries. This is a common procedure in sports players. …

A big reason why people refrain from exercise is the pain that they feel on consecutive days, well with exercise in water, no pain or at least very little is felt, this is down to the resistance that water creates.

Makes perfect sense.

Is Therapy immune to the recession?

Apparently numerous New York therapists are losing patients who can’t afford to access therapy /psychotherapy or counseling anymore. Allegedly New Yorkers need help to cope with depression and anxiety more than ever before during this recession.

President of the National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis – Sherman Phieffer says that at this time of a recession there seems to be greater need, and fewer resources exist.
Although there have been a few exceptions. Some psychologists, psychiatrists and social workers have actually reported an increase in patients.

Robin Kerner, Ph.D. A Clinical Psychologist states; “I surprisingly got a number of new referrals earlier in the year; almost all of my patients have firsthand connection to the economic fallout. However, many longer-term patients are starting to cut back.”

Let us know what your economic effects are having on your practice …we are all interested.

According to Wikipedia ….

Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows its users to send and read other users’ updates (otherwise known as tweets), which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length.

Updates are displayed on the user’s profile page and delivered to other users who have signed up to receive them. Senders can restrict delivery to those in their circle of friends (delivery to everyone being the default). Users can receive updates via the Twitter website, SMS, RSS, or email, or through applications such as TwitterMobile, Tweetie, Twinkle, TwitterFox, Twitterrific, Feedalizr, and Facebook.

Twitter for Therapists

I have been using Twitter for some time but it is only recently that I understood it’s value. I really does enable you to connect with your friends, business colleagues and potential clients quickly and easily.

You can even Tweet (posting a message) and receive messages from many mobile devices including cell phones and laptops.

I’ve created a video called Creating a Twitter Account that shows you how to do just that.

Using the right keywords and phrases for your web / blog pages is vital if you want to get the right targeted visitors to your web site.

Use the wrong keyword phrases, and you won’t get the type of person you want to attract coming to your site.

One tool that I have found really useful is the Free Keyword Tool from Google Adwords.

To watch the video showing you how to use the Google Adwords Keyword Tool, please click on the link below.
Video Showing Google Adwords Keyword Tool

To actualy use this tool and enter your own search terms then please click on the following link:-

Google Adwords Keyword Tool

In the box in the middle of the screen, type in your search term. Lets say you thought that the search term New York Therapy was a good search term. Just type in the search box “New York Therapy” (without the quotation marks) and the search terms relating to that search will be displayed.

The columns that are displayed are :-

1. Keywords ( keywords or phrases related to terms entered )

2. Advertiser Competition ( the volume of advertisers using adwords to attract to their sites using this term )

3. Approx Avg Search Volume ( the average number of searches for that term per month )

4. Search Volume Trends ( graphical representation of searches over the past year )

5 Highest Volume Occurred In ( the month the highest number of searches was recorded )

Now if you want the phrases that are searched for more than others, then just click on the heading of the column that says “Approx Avg Search Volume”.

A group of keywords that might reflect your business if you practiced therapy in New York might be:-

New York Therapist

New York Psychologist

New York Therapy

New York Counselor

NY Therapy

Using these keywords, you could then create a new page on your website / blog for each of them.

The page title would reflect each of the search terms, and the text on the page would describe what it is that you do, how this will help your potential clients and then what you would like them to do next.

.
