3 Tips to improve Social Wellness;
July is social wellness month. Social wellness emphasizes harmony and interdependence with others, while increasing the awareness of the impact one has on their community.
A definition of social wellness;
“a multidimensional state of being describing the existence of positive health in an individual as exemplified by quality of life and a sense of well-being.”

3 tips to Improving social wellness;
1. Learn what your personal needs are and pursue people who can meet them
2. Accept invitations to get-togethers with friends and family
3. Balance listening and talking when conversing and think before you speak and try to remain tactful.
Often people who are socially isolated can be more susceptible to illness and have a higher death rate, earlier in life, than those who are not socially isolated.
It has also been reported that people who maintain close relationships and friendships have higher levels of ‘ immunoglobulin A ’, which is an antibody that keeps away respiratory infections and cavities. So, social wellness can help promote better physical health and longer life.
